Love and Lightning

This is a rambling diary entry—you've been warned

Normally I use outfit posts to discuss, well, outfits. But TBH this outfit is exactly what you see: a 90s remix of denim, slip dress, basic white tee with some bitchin' accessories. Both the pink furry clutch and lightning bolt over-the-knee boots come from Rainbow—yes, that Rainbow. Now that we've gotten the details out of the way, let me get real weird and personal.

"With change comes uncertainty, and though I'd like to believe otherwise, I'm not a fortune teller."

I'm writing this post at 2 AM when I know full and well I have to be up for work in a quick 4.5 hours. I can't turn my brain off. This past week I made a lot of big life decisions (of which you will be learning soon), and though I am excited, I am equally, if not more, nervous. With change comes uncertainty, and though I'd like to believe otherwise, I'm not a fortune teller. I can't look into a crystal ball and know what I'm doing will work out exactly how I want.

There are a lot of answers I don't have, and that's what's literally keeping me up at night. Here's what I do have, though: people who love me. People who are rooting for me and want me to do well. People who will give to me whatever they can so that I accomplish whatever lofty goals I've set for myself. I am loved, and knowing this gives me the confidence to keep going even when I don't have the answers and all I want to do is take a nap. Love is an absolutely powerful thing. My mom, my aunts, my cousins, my friends—they have all supported me in ways I don't think they even understand. I am only here existing, not as a blogger, but as a human, because of all the people who have ever loved me. Please, please, please know that if you're reading this, you have the power to love that much and change someone's world. Don't be afraid to.

Alright, I'm done!

These boots were sent to me for styling purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are my own, as you can tell by the rambling.
