Does Purple Primer Actually Make Your Skin Glow?

Let's talk about the new Becca First Light Filter Face Primer

Does BECCA's purple primer work for all skin

Go ahead, ask me: "Do you want glowy skin?" Yes. Duh. Obviously. Yes. Always yes. If I could look as radiant as Beyoncé looked at the Grammy's last night all the time (not possible because no one is Beyoncé, but still) I would shout "hell yes" without stopping a beat to think. So, when I discovered that there was a strange purple primer that promised to give me that luminous glow, I was prepared to bathe in it.

I was sent a box full of BECCA's newest glow-baby-glow goodies by Influenster to try (for free!), and naturally I decided to put it all to the test on camera.

Look, I'm gonna keep it simple: This primer, though super purple. left this beautiful iridescence on my skin—just watch the video. It's instantly noticeable! It's a lightweight serum-like primer, which my oily skin was all for. Not heavy at all, so it allowed my makeup to glide on without feeling like I was caking layers on.

3.8/5 I Can Work With This
This is designed to be a light finishing powder that blurs skin into a dreamy, soft-focus finish. Here's where I went wrong: I attempted to bake with it. Baking with loose powder is all about packing a ton on to set makeup. This would be a great last step to be used with a very light hand, otherwise it'll settle into lines and can emphasize pores. Keep it simple with this stuff!

All I have to say is that this is the softest brush ever. Done. That's it. Like sweeping a cloud on your face.

Influenster sent me these products for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions, as always, are my own.
